for Flowers

Flowers: I have Orange Gerber Daisy's I bought myself last week because I knew they would look great on the coffee table in my pumpkin walled living room. I have wanted that colour in my living room for years.

And I have daffodils, bright, happy full big daffodils that my friend brought me on Sunday, while we were both in the grocery store, "because that is what girlfriends do, we buy each other flowers" Thank you Sandy!

Last week, during our brief break in the winter, the crocus's purple popped up in our lawn and I showed Izzie. Today, after a crazy frustrated work day and not enough time with my sweet girl, we were outside sledding, she said, "Mommy, look those are crocuses."
Yes, they are, sad, frozen, saggy crocuses, but they are dark purple and bright yellow and reminded me on this gray windy day that spring will come!

Easter Lilies, musky almost tropical colour, I dropped them by my friend's mom's house yesterday on the way to work. Grateful I had time to stop on the way to work, grateful for 20 plus years of friendship, grateful that a simple gesture like an Easter Lily can bring a smile to someone whose whole world has been pulled out from under her after 60 years.
So right now, I am grateful for Flowers
